" r An Improvised altar occupied one end of the living room and vaa banked with lilies anu pink rosea intermingled with ferns. . Tall candelabra with numerous lighted candles stood at either ; aide. Palms and baskets of ferns . formed a graceful background for the lighted altar. The light of the myriads of candlm was all used during the marriage service. Four bridesmaids entered first and took their places at Intervals down the length of the room by pedestal baskets containing larga bouquets of lilies and roses. Tne bridesmaids, who each carried long lengths of white ribbons, were Mrs. Paul Hendricks, Mrs. i John Carson, Mrs. KJllf ford Far mer, and Mrs. Earl C. Fieei. .- The matron of honor, Mrs. Air lan Bynon followed and was met at the altar by Mr. Egan accom panied by Don W. Byrd, his best man and Rev.' A. Candles were the enly light in the reception room and masses of co'orful bloom were everywhere about the room. The bride was lovely In a gown of canton crepe with a pretty ar rangement of Spanish lace. Pearls embellished tho panels wh'ch fell from the shoulders of the beauti ful gown. Strands of pearls were used In the decoration of the dress. The charming bride wore a coronet of lace and orange blos soms In Russian efft and her tulle veil lengthened Into a grace ful train, A pair or Quaint bracelets set with rubles and pearls and ' the gift of her grandmother were worn by the bride. She also car ried a lace handkerchief which had been used by her mother at her wedding. Her bouquet was a showrr arrangement of HUes of the valley and brides' roses. Mrs. Bynon. matron of honor, was charming in a gown of diver cloth with lace. The four brides maids were gowned in pastel shades and wore corsages of or chids, violets and .roses. Mrs. Deckobach. the bride's mother. wore black satin crepe prettily embroidered !n lavender, bine and gold. She wore orchids. The wedding dinner was served Immediately after the reception. The bride's table Included places for 15 and other small tables were set in the dining room. White lil ies and pink roses prettily min gled with white tullo centered the br da's table, where candle light was used. Mr. and Mrs. Egan left later In the evening for Portland and will be gone for 10 days. They will make their home at "Mountain View", the Egan ranch near Ger vals. Mrs. Etran is one of Salem' popular and charming young wo men. She "attended Salem nchools nd had always llred here. Mr. Egan is a son of W. H. Egan of Gervals. He attended Salem high school and the University of Ore gon from which he was graduat ed. He is a member of Phi Gam ma Delta. He served overseas with the aviation corps for two years during the war. Out of town meats at the wed ding were Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Rothchild, Mrs. Ellen Maasey and Carl Massey. Mr. and Mrs. John Coffey, Mrs. Mary Porter, Miss Margaret Coffee, Dr. Don W. Bvrd.
