House bill No. 10 calls for an
appropriation of f 280,0O for the
DroDosed new statu traininir school
buildinps and a new site on which
to build. It is the senate bill en
acted last session except that it
meets an objection of social
workers to the site selected by the
board of control. A new .sue will
be selected.. The money is divert
ed from the one-fourth mill road
levy. ,
House concurrent resolution
No. 2. by Davey, shows that while
the last legislature appropriated
$280,000 for the, building and
equipment of such a school on the
present state farms near Halem.
there is much objection to the
site.
The old appropriation cannot
be diverted, any part of it, to new
grounds. If a new place is chosen
a way to buy the site is necessary".
The resolution provides for a
committee of three representa
tives and three senators, to confer
with the board and if desirable
choose a new iste.
House bill No. 11, by Fletcher,
provides for a better form of ab
sentee ballot fo rprimary elec
tions. The voter who knows that
he is to be absent at election time.
may secure an official ballot and j
vote his sentiments, under easier
conditions than ttuxse now exis
tent. House bill No. 12, by Gordon,
allows lodges organized by char
ter prior to 1S59, to extend their
personal and realty holdiugs with
out legal limitation. They may
change their name, by properrpro-
cedure and by paying a proper re
cording fee.
A stoppage in the electric power
line, Tuesday morning, and a de
iay in the delivery of copy to the
state printer Monday night, left
the house stranded without a sin
gle printed bill to work on. up un
til noon. Tuesday. A motion to
sick the printing committee on the
printer, and the statement of the
speaker that the printer hadn't
had the bill copy when he did
have the power, Monday, resulted
in a general scramble to get thing
adjusted.
SENATE BILLS
The following bills were intro
duced in the senate yesterday:
S. H. 9. Nickelson To amend
section fi:w. Oregon laws, relat
ins to loans on encumbered prop
erty by the state land board.
S. H. 10, Norblad Providing
for the transportation of public
school pupils and lodging for pu
pils in certain cases.

Take a TablcsiNionful of Salts if
Hack Hurts or Itladder
We are a nation of meat eaters
and our blood Is filled with uric
acid, says a well-known authority,
who warns us to be constantly on
guard against kidney trouble.
The kidneys do their utmost to
free the blood of this irritating
acid, but become weak from the
overwork; they get sluggish; the
eliminative tissues clog and thus
the waste is retained in the blood
to poison the entire system.
When 5'Our kidneys ache and
feel like lumps of lead, and you
have stinging pains iri the back or
the urine is cloudy, full of sedi
ment, or the bladder is irritable,
obliging yon to seek relief during
the night; vrhen you have severe
headaches, nervous and dizzy
spells, sleeplessness, acid stomach
or rheumatism in bad weather, get
from your pharmacist about four
ounces of Jad Salts; take a table
spoonful in a glass of water before
breakfast each morning and in a
few days your kidneys will act
fine. This famous salts is made
from the acid ot grapes and lemon
juice, combined with lithia. and
has been used for generations to
flush and stimulate clogged kid
neys, to neutralize the acids in
urine so it is no longer a source of
irritation, -thus ending urinary
and bladder disorders.
Jad Salts Is inexpenslre and
cannot injure; makes a delightful
effervescent lithia-water drink,
and nobody can make a mistake
by taking a little occasionailv to
keep the kidneys clean and active.
