Ann Chapman, 92 years old. said to have been a cousin of Robert E. Lee. leader of the armies of the south in the Civil war. died at her home in West Salem late Friday night. Mrs. Chapman had lived in Sa lem continuously for 6G years, or since 1854 when she came to this state, her husband having taken up a donation land claim near West Salem. Mrs. Chapman was related to thegreat southern soldier through henjmother, whose name was Lee. Her father was Jesse Morrison. Mrs. Cliaoman leaves one. son and three daughters. The son is George W.
