The society estimates salaries
for the two years at $SlfiO, and
replacements, repairs, etc.. at
$3000. It realizes about 814.000

for maintaining the city pound,
hut all of this money must be
used exclu3lvely in the city. The
total income from state work, it
is said, is not over $1000 a year,
net counting $500 which is given
by the state. This $1500. it is
claimed, is totally Inadequate to
carry on the state work. A "state
officer is needed, th report says,

$100 a month allowed for travel
ing -expenses.
