It has been found by experience that western Oregon and western Washington in soil and climate are well adapted to the growth o these valuable nuts and that ther produce as heavily In western Oregon and Washington as in England or any part of Kurope The trees should be planted on rich, weUl-drafined rlvqr bottom and valley land, and should b pruned into tree form as much a possible.
