Mr. Sawyer was married to Rose Franks in June, 1914. who with four little daughters. Dorothy, Rosemary, Ruth and Marjorie are left to mourn his loss. Besides his immediate family he leaves bis parents. Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Sawyer of Gervais. one brother, Lewis R. Sawyer of Sil verton and five sisters. Mrs. Wil liam Oddie., Mrs. Archie Wiesner, Mrs. Sherman Richard. Mrs. Ken neth Coomler, all of Gervais. and Mra. Charles Eagleson of Eddy vilhe. Ore. My. Sawyer was a loving hus hand and father, a loyal friend and wilt be sorely missed in the family circle. He was drowned in the Willamette river near Salem September 19 while trying to res cue the boat-In which his little daughter Ruth was drifting away. His body was recovered Tuesday evening, Sept. 28. after days of faithru watching by relatives and fricnd3.
