Prank M. Mapes won. Two large salmon, one from Yaquina bay and one from Ne halem hay. were received Thurs day from a fishing company at Newport by the Fitts market. The salmon were among the largest tver purchased here. W. S. Fitts conceived the idea that a weight- nesting content would furnish good sport for his patrons. Ac cordingly he placarded his shop window announcing the conditions of the weight guessing contest. No ono was barred.
