Salem will le the Mecca for representatives from 71. Artisan assemblies on Labor day, September C. It will be the
greatest Artisan meeting ever held in western Oregon. The big armory at Salem has been secured, in which will be held
a great initiation, fancy drills, etc-, by combined drill teams from Portland and Salem. In the evening will be a great ball,
open to Artisans and guests, upon invitation, for which a small charge will be made " .
Portland assemblies have in mind aji automobile parade from Portland to Salem. The municipal auto earap grounds
and possibly, the state fair grounds will be thrown open for campers who desire to go to Salem Saturday and remain
over until Monday night. The full details -of Monday s parade, conclave, dance, etc, have not yet been worked out, but
full details will be given. later. , . ; ' V , , .
Many of the delegates will arrive in Salem Saturday, and on Sunday a picnic dinner will be served at the state fair
grounds and games and sports enjoyed. Sunday night, beginning at 9 o'clock, as a special feature of the convention
the women's band of the Graves Canning company of Sheridan' will, play a sacred concert at Willsbn park.
The Labor day program is announced as follows: ,

2-00 p. ra. Special initiation; four combined drill teams; lectures by all men's corps of officers; every essembly
