Capper Reports Progress . of Irrigation Districts Percy A. Cupper, state engineer. lias prepared for F. K. Ve mouth. thief engineer of the United States reclamation service, with headquar ters at Denver, a detailed statement of work done on the several Irriga tion projects in Oregon which have been investigated jointly by the state and the federal reclamation service. The legislature of 1913 made an appropriation of S30.0O0 to be used in the investigation ot Oregon pro jects on condition that an equal al lotment be. made by the government tor the same purpose. The statute and an agreement later entered into between the state and the reclamation service provided that the investigation funds should be returned to the state and the re clamation service by any person or organization undertaking the con struction of a project. The Ochoco Irrigation district has returned to the state S3506.0& and to the re clamation service $4307.09. Tbo Warm Springs district has placed In escrow $19,449.22. of which $14.- "24.61 is due the reclamation ser vice and $4724.61 the state, of which amount $4000 has been paid. Prom the Talent Irrigation district there is due $1074.34, of which $537.17 is due the ttate and $537.17 the re clamation tervlce. The district has Agreed to pay this. Practically all of the funds returned to the state hate been expended in further in vestigation of the Uenham Falls res ervoir site, leaving $1320.63 avail able for other cooperative invest! gations. - j.
