The public service commission has

old. Besides her husband she leaves
four sons: Homer C Olmstead of
Africa where he is a missionary;
Frank O. Olmstead of California;
Clyde A. Olmstead of Lebanon, Arty
Olmstead of Spokane and one daugh
ter. Mrs. Zela Smith of Clatskanle.
The funeral will he held this aft
ernoon at 2 o'clock in charge of the
Terwilliger Funeral home, from the
Seventh Day Adventist church. Rev.

Stephen Lacier, Pioneer,
Dies at Local Hospital
Stephen Lucief, who was born at
Champoeg 75 years ago, died at
local hospital yesterday morning. He
was a member of an old Marion coun
ty family and his father, a French
man, was one of the first white men
to settle here. He never married and
the relatives which he leaves could
