sion has Issued an order permitting
the Spokane; Portland ft Seattle rail
road to extend a spur track in the
city of Reaverton, Washington. Hear

New St reef Signs Up-
All except about 150 of the street
signs ot Salem are now In place and
the remainder 'Of these will be erect
ed by the last of the week or first
of next, according to a statement
made by W. Low, city street com
missioner, yesterday. This is the
first time In the past ten 'years that
all the street signs of the city' have
teen replaced by new ones. The

been repainted, which has improved
