Senator Thomas of Mcdford intro
duced a point resolution to refer to
the people a proposed constitutional
amendment to withdraw state aid !
from commercial fishing. The meas
ure would prohibit sny Tunds being
paid out of the state treasury for
the aid of commercial fishing ex
cept such funds ss are received from
taxes on equipment and output of
the canneries.
The legislature of 1919 made an I
