the $60,000 home for friendless and
deserted babies which is to da buiil
in Portland by the people of Oregon
started in Dallas Tuesday. I'p to a
late hour solicitors for Dallas' share
of the fund received a neat little
sum. Soliciting here is under the
direction of the Dallas Woman's
club and is receiving the hearty sup
port of every member.
Mrs. Conrad Stafrin is chairman
of the Dallas committee and Mrs
Wynn Johnson county chairman dur
ing the campaign.
The slogan "Be Brick Buy a
Brick" was taken up by all the lo
cal churches Sunday and the drive
received a large amount of advertis
ing in this manner. Mr. Stafrin ex
pects that when the complete re
turns from the drive have been tab
ulated Dallas will have gone well
over the top.
