Entrance to the store was effected
through a maize of hallways, stairs

entered by the stairway which leads
to the auditorium of the Commercial

narrow passage ways or halls to the
heavy door opening Into Hartman

door was forced by a crowbar after
an opening was chiseled in the door

The second door leading into the
main store room was opened by re
moving . the pias from the strong
hinges, after a .futile .effort to cut
a hole through the door large enough
to pick the lock from the inside. All
of this work was accomplished by the

were found on the floor at the door
