There we: the characters so well known la ..early Oregon history, Jason Lea; Dr. Mc laughlin, Daniel Lee, Cyrus Shep- erd, Philip Edwards and many oth ers, 'besides many of the Indians who are closely associated . with the ear ly life of this country. It was written by Professor Delia Crowder Miller ;of the public speak ing department and will be presented very four years from now on in or der.that each student who attends th. college may at some time be j-ivileged to take part in it. About 500 people appeared Li the pageant, including faculty, students. former students, students from Che- mara, and citizens of Salem.
