' " State ofricials and others about the capitol building weru on the qui vive Tuesday In expectancy that the supreme court would hand dawj an opinion in the action of Hen W.Ol cott against State Treasurer O. V lloff. a mandamus proceeding in stituted to determine Mr. Olvott's statiH as governor and disappoint ment was keen when the opinion failed to appear in the usual Tuesday morning grist of decisions. Ther apiears to be little doubt, however, that an opinion will ronw down next Thursday. Pelief in atate circles is general that the supreme court justice to whom the case was assigned has written his opinion, and that the only reason why if did not reach the public yesterday is that other justices, governed by oi- posing convictions in the case, have not made up their minds relative to writing special concn'Ting opinions and dissenting opinion?, depending on the positions they have taken. It i generally believed there wi I be a dissenting opinion or two re gardless of which way the decision goes.
