ers Threaten Strike in
New York City
NEW YORK. Jan. 18. The inter
national ladies' garment workers'
union, with a membership of 35,
' 000 In this city, today advocated call
" tng a strike next week unless In the
meantime the employers grant de
mands for a 15 per cent wage in
crease and a 44 hour working week.
- The result of the strike vote was an
nounced at a meeting held late to-

showed 12.721 members In favor of
a strike and only 105 oposed. At one
