It is the Inten Hon of the attorneys to have the case advanced on the supreme court's calendar, but It Is now ap parent that hearing cannot be given until after the supreme court re turns from Pendleton where the east ern Oregon session will be held the first week In May. i The office of Attorney (General Brown suggested to Attorneys La Roche and M. L. Pipes that notice of appeal be filed in two or three days after decision of the lower court so thaflhe case could be ad vanced on the supreme court docket before the briefs were filed. . It Is now more than three weeks since the lower court's ' action and the city's briefs are yet to be filed. The attorney, general's office will, need at least two. weeks In which to file Its briefs after the briefs of the city are filed. Market Is Difficult for Cattle Having Tuberculosis Cattle owners who live In Malhuer county are losing money- on cattle that react to the teal "for tuberculo sis but which are still considered fit for beef because of a law .that pre vents the cattle being shipped to market through another state.
