Because th road Is a postroad the government Is , to pay half the cost of construc tion work, the state paying 'the other half. Hard surfacing cf the road I to begin as soon as weather will per mit, and will be done probably with one of the state's new paving plants. This plant Is now in Portland, but when the work, begin.
