Uobkkry. A m.in named Chas. Hall,
attempted td rob Mr. Cann. at Mihvaukie,
'at Tuesday evening. Hall was at the
store of Mr. Cann. and about 11 o'clock
.in the evening, when he supposed e ery
tliing was save. Hall presented a pistol to
II r. Cana's head, and told him to deliver
over to him what money, lie had. Mr.
Cann called out. which bso'ight his wife
to the rescue, who ran out. ami raised an
iiTsnn, which caused Hall fo desist, in his
'd-rrard and take to his heels. lie was
.followed - to this city and arrested Wed
nesday afternoon and taken back to Mil
waukie .for a preliminary examination,
lie will probably be a county boarder un
til the. n'Xt term of Court, and thru a
State boarder.
