trict No. 41, in obedience to a citation is

.Samuel Taylor was appointed Supevisor
lor this District for tbe ensuing year.
Upon application of A. Warner, Super
visor of Road District No. 14, he isreliev
sdj and J. R. Ralston appointed in bis
place.
Win. Blunt, Supervisor for Road Dis
trict No. 30, makes his report claiming 4
days extra labor. Report accepted and
Supervisor allow! eight dollars for such
xtra labor, and F. O. Mack, appointed
Supervisor of this district for the ensuing
year.
L'pon the petition of citizens from
Young's Precinct, license to run a ferry
across the Clackamas river, near Joseph
Voung3s place, was granted to L. Field-
lieimer, tor the period ot Ave years, upon
his paying two dollars and fifty cents per
year, and that he be allowed to charge
the following rates of ferriage : , For
wagon and span of horses25 cents; each
additional 'fcpan. 12 cents, tibove rates to
apply to yoke of oxen. One horse and
rider, 25 cordis ; loose cattle, per head, 5
Cents ; sheep or hogs. 1 cent.
Upon petition of citizens from Young's
Precinct and vicinity the following terri
tory was taken fn m Road District No.
18. and attached to Road District No. 19.
to-wit : commencing at Joseph Young's
bouse, thence running to L. Fieldheimer's,
enisling the Clackamas river at said Field
heimer's, running thence west to "Z. C.
Norton's.
W. D. McCubbin. Andrew Sprowls Jr.,
and William Tucker, the viewers appoint
dto'5view, locaftj (Mid report upon the
public utility of a road leading lrom the
end of Eli Criswell's lane to a road lead
ing from Milwaukee to the place of
Philip Foster's, filed their amend
ed report, recommending the establish
ment and opening of said proposed road.
And A. P. Smith, W. D. King and George
Wise, having each asked for damages by
reason of said road running over their
lands, the Court appointed Jos. Purroit
D. I). Tompkins and L. D. C. Latourette.

CardinelFs dancing school in this place
for the season. The Prof." has been very
?uccessful in instructing his scholars in
the art of dancing. In addition to this,
he has been equally fortunate in teaching
them to be courteous and graceful in their
manners, whereby they obtain a polish
very desirable to any gentleman or lady
entering upon society and social life, and
equally important in a business point of
view.
