f boat took a shear on the pilot, and struck
one of the dock fenders v.'ith such force

bruised him considerably, but the injury
is not serious.

skeleton and clothes of a man. The flesh
had all disappeared , and nothing remained
but the ebones and clothes. The skeleton

Accident. iOn last Thursday morning,
the Alert, Capt. Pease in command, at
tempted to make a landing at Oswego, but
it being somewhat dark, sue struck against
the wharf rather forcibiy, causing a beam,
or log which protruded from the wharf, to
pass through the side of the boat, above
the lower deck. No particular damage
was done, however, and the boat soon
went on her wa', as though nothing had
happened.
