A match game of Base Ball was played
in this city on Saturday the 17th irst., be
tween the Young Athletics of Portland,
and the Tigers of Oregon City. The Port
laud boys were beaten 10 runs. The Ti
gers received two skunks and the Athlet
ics received four.

The Oregon City String Band have
now attained a suitable proficiency to en
able thcjn to give an occasional Soiree,
'te first of the Series to hist till fall and
winter, was given at the Court House on
