Ve learn from Mr. I). W.Erarv that agents
are about to begin the canvass of the val-
ley counties for the sale of licenses to use
Perkins' Patent for preserving eggs, fruit,
etc. These is the most indubitable evi
dences that this process is just what it is
claimed to be a sure preventive, simple,
cheap, and may be used with perfect safety
by any one. The material to be used may
be purchased in almost any towD or village
at a cost of about one cent for each dozen
eggs. It is the only successful process
discovered for preserving eggs for a long
time, in a perfect state. Eggs coated with
the solution have kept periecfly fresh for
two years. Eggs decay from exposure to
the action of the atmosphere. This closes
all the pores of the shell" hermetically. and
shuts out. absolutely, every active princi
ple existing in the atmosphere, while at
the same time the egg remains totally un
affected by the coating substance. Every
farmer, poulterer, and dealer in the State,
should buy a "license to use." It. costs,
with full directions, and a copy of Erary's
"New Poultry' Eook." only six dollars
a sum which any one may save, many times
over in one season, by being able to keep
eL'urs as to take advantage of the markets.
