room for a rest. This is one of the best
improvements yet made to enable people
living on the bluff to reach their homes

can be constructed up Seventh street this

improve our own streets, and private
property but help us to get to our

Some say that it is of no for them
to advertise, tliat they have been in the
place in business all their lives, and every
body knows them. Such people seem to
forget to take in consideration that our
country is increasing in population nearly
-10 per cent, every fen years, and no mat
ter how old the place may bo, there are
constant changes taking place; some
move to other parts, and strangers fill
.heir places. In this age of the world. un

constantly before the public, some new
firms may start up, and, by liberally ad

The GreenEyed Monster.
Jealousy is always termed " the green-eyed
monster," from the fact that those afflicted
with that disease always l ave a peculiar un
easiness and fear about them, and see every
thing with discolored orgaus. Jealousy
naturally is convened iuto envy, which is
mortified pride or ambition that another has
obtained what one hps i strong desire to ob
tain or fiossesss, and mono-mania finally
takes possession of the individual. Now it
is a well known fact that what one has ob
tained at Kohn & Fi.-hel's, another can
possess on the same, terms.

and more than that number of Saddles. He
is bound to make a trade wit It any man who
wishes to buy of him. He uses both Oregon
and California leather in his establishment,
and his work bears a most excellent reputation
abroad. We hope that citizens of our own
county will think of this, when they want any
articles in his line.
