Randall, county recorder of Clackamas county, is visiting Dalles friends. F. N. Jones and J. H, Beckley left this morning for the Jones ranch near Bakeoven. It was also ordered that the marshal have all buildings and obstruction removed from the streets of The Dalles. A petition from the Wasco Warehouse Milling Company asking for an exten sion of 'time for six weeks in which to complete their plant, was grunted. The reports ot the marshal and re- corder were read end ordered nlaced on file; also that the officers' salaries be paid, as well as all bills npproved by the finance committee. San Francisco, Nov. 4 Leoog Kee, the 18 .i ear-old wife of Chlng Kee, a prominent Chinese merchant, was stab bed by masked highbinders late last night as she was entering her home upon her return from a social call on the wife of Chinese Minister Wn Ting Fang and the family of Consul-General Ho Yow, at the consulate. This is the first blood shed directly attributable to the long standing feud between the Wong and Chin families, nnd fear is openly ex pressed in Chinatown that many lives may be i-acriflced before it is eettled. Mrs. Kee, who belongs to the Wong family, though severely wounded, will recover. The would-be assassin escaped. Many Venezuelan Drunutd. Maricaiho, Vent zuela, Saturday, Nov. 2 Advices received here from Rubioa, dated October 28th say that a night attack of the Colombians has caused a general reorganization of the Venezuelan plan of defense. The Venezuelans were caught crossing a river near Rubioa. The rope bridge brode arid numbers of Venrzuelans were drowned.
