In Use For Over Thirty Years CASTORIA Exposition Will Lone Millions. Buffalo, Oct. 24 The Pan-American Exposition Company hats $804,000 caeh to its credit to he devo'ed to paying an additional proportion of the Bret mort gage bonds. Already $1,260,000 ot the 42,500,000 first mortgage bonds has been paid. The amount now doe on the firet mortgage bonds is $440,000. The exposition haa nine days more. If it should clear $50,000 a day for the nine days it would have sufficient cash to make the last payment on the first mtrtgage bonds. If it fails to average a net profit of $50,000 a day there may be a default on a part of the first mortgage bond payment. The holders of the second mortgage bonds seem to agree that no payment will be made to them. The stockholders, of course, understand that no payment ill be made to them. The unpaid contractors are clamoring to get the 70 Percent still due them on their claims, bnt thus far tl.ey have been successful. The second mortgage bonrte total $500, The stock represents $2,100,000. The amount of contractors' claims is not tated exactly at present. Dined Bouktr Washington. Nw Yokk, Qct. 23. Booker T. Brain Food tiooinnie. Another ridiculous food fad has been oranded by tbe most competent author ities. They have dispelled the silly no tion that one kind of food is needed for brain, another for muscles, and still an other for bones. A correct diet will not only nourish a particular part of the body, but it will sustain every other part. Yet, however good your food may be, its nutriment is destroyed by indi gestion or dyepeysia. FIERCE BATTLE WITH A COYOTE Idaho Rancher Has Narrow Escape With His Life Fatally Wounds Beast Which Turns en Him and and Gives Fight. Boisk, Idaho, Oct. 24. James TJrias, who is living on E. C. Cook's place across the river, had a fight with a coyote, that nearly ended in a tragedy. The animal turned upon Mr. Uriaa and fought desperately. Mr. TJrias finally killed the brute, but not till he was al most exhausted. Late in the afternoon, it seems, Mr. TJrias wrnt out to the barn to feed the stock. As be passed the chicken coops be noticed a large coyote skulking about. He hurried back to the bouse and got a double-barreled shotgun. Returning, he shot tiie animal, both charges taking effect in its body, but not fatally injuring tbe coyote. The animal snapped and snarled, and, though he started off, it was very slowly and with most vicious looks backward at Mr. TJrias. The latter wanted to kill the animal, as he was conyinced it was making away with some of his chickens at least. He started after tbe coyote. As the animal got to the corner of the barn it stopped, and, facing about, snarled and snapped most sayageiy at the oncoming farmer. Mr. TJrias rushed up to tbe animal, clubbing it with the butt end of the shotgun. The coyote repeatedly tried to bite Mr. TJrias, but could not. It was in an awful rage, its eyes bloodshot, foam streaming from its mootb, and almost constantly it growled and gnashed ita teeth. Tbe most weird battle, probably, ever fought on Idaho soil was waged by tbe side of that barn, for fully ten minutes, when Mr. Urias finally succeeded in killing the animal. It was considered wholly strange that the coyote would fight so, but it was doubtless due to tbe pain from the shotgun wounds. It is considered very fortunate that Mr. TJrias was not bitten. Mora Soldiers Headed. London, Oct. 24.
