Piuncktok, N. J.. May 10. Mark
Twain (Samuel L. Clemens) has just
given an interesting address before the
students and friends of Lawrence Hut
ton, the author, in Alexander hall. Mr.
Clemens came to Princeton as the guest
of Mr. Button. Immediately upon his
appearance on tiie platform the under
graduates greeted him with a long, loud
cheer. The speaker then told a number
of wittv stories about his early life in
the West, a war story and concluded
with reading from one of his works on
the German language. He will remain
here today and will be present at the
Harvard-Princeton debate tonight.
