So far, none of the details of the presi dent's visit about the cities of Portland or Salem have been agreed to, but it is expected definite arrangements will be completed before he leaves Washington. Kestrvolr Hltt?n. Nouth Yakima, April 8. George Otis Smith, of the geological survey, will soon begin operations in the Cascade moun tains, looking to completion of the loca tion of reservoir sites and the mapping of the country from a geological point. Preliminary surveys were made last year, but the appropriation of $100,000 was not sufficient to complete the work, and an additional appropriation of a similar sum has been made by congress this year. Congress will be asked to build reservoirs to impound water for irrigation in the Yakima valley. In the meantime the farmers anf couplaining that the water shed is being destroyed by sheep grazing, and if suitable protection was given there would be no necessity for reservoirs. It is claimed that in some places the water haB decreased 50 per cent in the past ten years, because of denuding the forests. You will waste time if you try to cure indigestion or dyspepsia by starving yourself. That only makes it worse when you do eat heartily. You always need plenty of good food properly di gested.
