"One day last winter a ladv came to
my drug etore and asked for a brand of
cough medicine that I did not have in
stock," says Mr. C. 11 Grandin, the
popular druggist of Ontario, X. Y. "She
was disappointed and wanted to know
what cough preparation I could recom
mend. I said to her that I could freely rec
minuend Chamberlain's Cough Uemedy
and that she could take a bottle of the
remedy and after giving it a fair trial if
(he did not find it worth the money to
bring back the bottle audi would refund
the price paid, In the couree of a day
or two the lady came back in company
with a friend in need of a cough medicine
and advised her to buy a bottle of Cham

that a very good recommendation for
the remedy." It is for sale by G. 0.

Constantinoi'i.g, Nov. 23. The Porte
has definitely rejected the requeet for an
exequatur for a United Slates Consul at

by President McKinley some time ago to
establish a consulate at Harpoot, has
been directed to proceed to hiB post.
