reference to the position which the gold
democrats will take. It is believed that
there is a general understanding among
the democrat- throughout the United
States as to what they intend to do in
this presidential election, and it is
thought that it will bo indicated by the
general election in Oregon. The silver
ites are hoping that the gold democrats
will return to the party, but they are
not offering any inducements in the way
of concessions as to the platform that
will be adopted at Kansas City. The
platform is almost sore to be as drastic
as the platform of Chicago. If the gold
democrats support the fusion ticket, and
the reaffirmation of the Chicago plat
form in Oregon, it will be generally
taken to mean that there is a movement
on the part of the gold democrats to
return to the party, regardless of the
silver issue and Bryanism, which drove
them out of the democratic party four
years ago.

Olorlous News.
Comes from Dr. D. B. Cargile, of
Washita, I. l lie writes :
"Four bottles of Electric Bitters has
cured Mrs. Brewer of scrofula, which had
caused her great suffering tor years.
Terrible sores would break out on her
head and face, and the best doctors
could give no help; but her cure is com
plete and her health is excellent." This
shows what thousands have proved,
that Electric Bitters is the best blood
purifier known. It s the supreme
remedy for eczema, tetter, salt rheum,
ulcers, boils and running sores. It
stimulates liver, kidneys and bowels,
expels poisons, helps digestion and
builds up the strength. Only 50 cents.

It Wat Plague,
San Francisco, May 30. Dr. Kellogg,
who has been investigating the corpse
of a Chinaman found in a Chinese un
dertaking establishment, expressed an
opinion late last night that the China
man had died of the plague.
"I am satisfied it is the plague," he
said, "and I am confident that an au
topsy and animal inoculation will con
firm it. One not conversant with the
situation in Chinatown cannot imagine
tire difficulties that confront the inspec
tors, but they can be imagined when I
say we have only discovered the cases I
after the victims were dead."
