The Pop ulist state convention opened here to day. Tho party has nbout 300 delegates, some of the counties having no organiza tions. Tho convention will nominate a state ticket and select delegates to the Kational convention. Tho Populists say that they will never fuse with the Demo crats in Missouri again. Four years ago they decided against fusion, but when the campaign began to warm up their candidate for governor, O. D. Jones, of Edina, withdrew, and the name of Lon V.
