night from a visit to Portland and La
fayette. He left Mrs. Bradahaw visiting
her sister at that place and she will
aho visit other valley owns before re
turning. Mr. and Mrs. E. C. Goodwin arrived
in the city Monday from their Alabama
home, and left this ntorninz for Ante
lope, where they will make their future
home and where Mr. Goodwin, will
practice law.
Mr. and Mr9. R. Barrett returned last
night from Portland, where they went to
consult a specialist regarding Mr. Bar
rett's ears, which had been troubling
him greatly. He had them operated on
and is now improving.
Ed MoiEe, drusgist for the Butler
Driiu Co , left for Portland this morning
to attend the marriageof his sifter, Miss
Emma Morse, to H. II. Riddell. Cur
ing his absence J. Mnlkey, of Portlaud,
