DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP-
Notice ia hereby given that the partner
ship heretofore existing between G.
Daut and S. D. Stoufer under the firm
name and style of The Daut Optical and
Jewelry Company has this day been dis
eolved. P. G. Daut will continue the
business, collect all debts due the firm
and pay all bills owing by them, the said
S. D. Stonfer hereby retiring therefrom.

J. II. Smith and Miss Belle Smith are

Saturday evening from a visit in Port
land. F. A. Van Xordcn left on the Flyer
yesterday to join his wife, who Is visit
ing friends in the Valley.
Mrs. W. H. Moody and children re
turned Saturday lrom a visit, with Ex
Gov. and Mrs. Moody in Salem.
Mrs. G. B. Durbin came in from An
telope yesterday morning, and left on
the afternoon train for Portland.
Mrs. H. Glenn and family caino up on
the boat Saturday, returning from their
cottnge at Seaview, Ilwaco beach.
Mr. and Mrs. II. 0. Nielsen and family
returned Saturday evening from their
euinmer's vacation at Nahcotta, Long
bead).
S. Nutting has returned to his duties
at Mays & Crowe's store, after spending
his vacation at North Yakima, his
former home.
Mrs. C. M. Cartwright came up from
Portland yesterday and left this morn
ing for Hay Creek, where they are to
make their home.
Rev. Frank Johns and wife spent
vesterday with Mrs. Johns' parents,
Mr. and" Mrs. S. Creiahton, on 3-Mile.
He is on his way to attend conference
at Spokane.
Mr. and Mrs. F. R. Anson, of Salem,
arrived in the city Sunday and will leave
Thursday for Pnueville.where Mr. Anson
has the contract lor putting in an elec
trie light plant.
Saturday evening Frank Hurlburt and
Chas. Lord, of Arlington, who have been
camping at Trout Lake, arrived in the
city on the boat, llie former lett this
morning for Portland, while the latter
will return to Arlington tonight.
Mrs. Eliza McFarland, who has been
spending a few weeks with Mrs. Abram
in Portland, has returned home. In

Rev. J. II. Wood and Presiding Elder
Robt. Warner will leave on the evening
train for Spokane, where thev will at
tend the session of th Columbia river
conference which will convene Wednes
day. Rev. Wood will return when it is
determined where ho will be stationed,
for the purpose of removing his family
and settling up his business here.
Carey Kallard, of The Dalles, nnlved
in our town on Wednesday's stage, and
will make Antelope his home for the
next few mouths. He is an expert
mechanic and was attractei! by the
abundance of work here. Antelope
Herald.
Theodore Liobe, who has been absent
from the city for the past two years, re
turned home yesterday. During his ab
sence he has attended the Optical In
stitute at Peoria, 111., also Parson's
Horological school. Mo has spent the
last six months in Chicago.
Cllnten Alden came down Saturday
from Pendleton, where he has spent the
past few months, and having spent
the evening with friends, left en the
boat vesterdav for Vancouver Barracks.
"Clint" has enlisted with the Thirty
fifth and will soon be on his way to
Manila to fight for hi? country.
