An Excellent Combination.
The pleasant method and beueflcial
effects of the well known remedy,
SyRUP of Figs, manufactured by the
Cai.ifokxia Fio Syrup Co., illustrate
the value of obtaining the liquid laxa
.tive principles of plants known to be
medicinally laxative and presenting
them in the form most refreshing to the
tasto and acceptable to the system. It
Is the one perfect strengthening' laxa
tive., clean sinjr the system effectually,
dispelling' cold3, headaches and fevers
gently yet promptly and enabling one
to overcome habitual constipation per
manently. Its perfect freedom from
every objectionable quality and sub
stance, and its acting on the kidneys,
liver and bowels, without weakening
-or irritating them, make it the ideal
I laxatiyc.
In the process of manufacturing figs
-are used, as they are pleasant to the
tast2,but the medicinal qualities of the
remedy ara obtained from senna and
other aromatic plants, by a method
known to the California Fig Syrup
Co. only. In order to get its beneficial
effects and to avoid imitations, please

The trails in this district are a. dis

This district bus no .equal. "Yon can
get as many as one or two colore .to a

takes the most powerful glass known to
science to discover them. Stocks are
very low here, as" yon can buy for one
cent a share .in Copper City, but if you
don't want to pay that they'll make you
a present of 2000 or 3000 shares and pay
you to take them. That is all the good

Copper Creek Alining: District.
Silvee Stab Mountains,
June 24, 1899.
Editor op tub Chronicle : We are
located in the Copper Creek minioz
district, inl I'm pleased to let yon
know how things arc. The country is
filled with quartz ledges from one to
forty feet in width, containing gold,
eilver, copper and lead, bnt it will take
a million dillors to develop them. The
mines are staked out every 600 feet, for
fifteen miles up and down Canyon creek.
Parties are doing developing work on
some of the claims, others have not seen
their'd tinea they located them in
traveling up this trail. There are no
notices nor lines required to hold claims
in this feciion. Good development is
being done on two claims, but the most
of it is done with wind aroucd Van
couver. . Any poor prospector that is
t hinking of coming here had better stay
at home or go to Walla Walla harvest'
ing.
We have learned a new way of making
tunnels. First, set up six posts, three
oh each side, againpt the face on the
ledge, ai:d cover over with ' logging ten
feet in length. Then go above your
ehed, drill and put in cn9 good shot
say half a stick of powder and fire it,
which will blow one ton of rock down
cn the tlied and your tunnel is complete.
Then post a nctice inside that yon will
not be responsible (or any assessment
work done oi this claim. That will
hold your mine for ons year and longer
if good miners drop in and look at them

time means more than the annoyance of painful boils and
unsightly pimples. If these impurities are allowed to
remain, the system succumbs to any ordinary illness, and is
unable to withstand the many ailments - which are so
prevalent during spring and summer. -
Mrs. L. Gentile, 2004 Second Avenue, Seattle, Wash.,
says : " I was afflicted for a long time with pimples, which
were very annoying, as they disfigured my face fearfully.
