effects of the well known remedy,
Syrup of Figs, manufactured by the
California Fig Syrup Co., illustrate
the value of obtaining1 the liquid laxa
tive principles of plants known to be
medicinally laxative and presenting
them in the form most refreshing to the
taste and acceptable to the system. It
is the one perfect strengthening laxa
tive, cleansinsr the system effectually,
dispelling colds, headaches and fevers
gently yet promptly and enabling one
to overcome habitual constipation per
manently. Its perfect freedom from
every objectionable quality and sub
stance, and its acting on the kidneys,
liver and bowels, without weakening
or irritating them, make it the ideal
laxative.
In the process of manufacturing figs
are used, as they are pleasant to the
' taste, but the medicinal qualities of the
remedy are obtained from senna and
other aromatic plants, by a method
known to the California Fig Syritp
Co. only. In order to get its beneficial
effects and to avoid imitations, please

AN UNFAILING SIGN THAT
NATURE IS APPEALING
When Nature is overtaxed, she has
her own way of giving notice that assist

time means more than the annoyance of painful boils and
unsightly pimples. If these impurities are allowed to
remain, the system succumbs to any ordinary illness, and is
finable to withstand the many ailments which are so
prevalent during spring and summer.
Mrs. L. Gentile, 2004 Second Avenue, Seattle, Wash.,
flays : " I was afflioted for a long time with pimples, which
were very annoying, as they disfigured my face fearfully'.
After using many other remedies in vain, S. S. 8. promptly
and thoroughly cleansed my blood, and now I rejoice in
a good complexion, which I never had before."
Capt. W . H. Dunlap, of the A. Q. S.
