TEE EXCELLENCE OF SYRUP OF HQS
is due not only to the originality and
simplicity of the combination, but also
'to the care and skill with which it is
manufactured by scientific processes
known to the California Fig Svbup
Co. only, and we wish to impress upon
-all the importance of purchasing1 the
true and original remedy. As the
genuine Syrup of Figs is manufactured
by the California Fig Svbcf Co.
only, a knowledge of that fact will
assist one in avoiding the worthless
imitations manufactured by other pa
ties. The high standing- of the Cali
TOBNIA Fro Srnup Co. with the medi
cal profession, and the satisfaction
which the genuine Syrup of Figs has
given to millions of families, makes
the name of the Company a guaranty
of the excellence of its remedy. It is
far in advance of all other laxatives,
as it acts on the kidneys, liver and
Toowels without irritating or weaken
ing them, and it does not gripe nor
nauseate. In order to get its beneficial
effects, please remember the same of

"There is only one way to cure deafness

Deafness is caused by an inflamed con

A Clever Trick;
It certainly looks like it, but there is
Teally no trick about it. Anybody can
try it who haa lame back and weak kid
neys, malaria or nervous troubles. We
mean he can cure himself right away by
taking Electric Bitters. This medicine
tones up the whole system, acts as a
stimulant to the Liver and Kidneys, is a
blood purifier and nerve tonic. It cures
s constipation, headache, fainting spells,
sleeplessness and melancholy. It is
purely vegetable, a mild laxative, and
restores the system to its natural vigor.
Try Electric Bitters and be convinced
that they are a miracle worker. Every
bottle guaranteed. Only 50c a bottle at
Blakeley & Houghton's drug store. 3
Millions Given Away!
It is certainly gratifying to the public
to know of one concern in the land who
are not afraid to be generous to the needy
and suffering. The proprietors of Dr.
King's New Discovery for Consumption,
Cauiihs and Colds, have given away over
ten million trial bottles of this great
i. .5 M
medicine ; and have the satisfaction of
knowing it baa absolutely cured thous
ands of hopeless cases. Asthma, Bron
chitis, Hoarseness and diseases of the
Throat, Chest and Lungs are surely
cured by it. Call on Blakeley & Hough
too, druggists, and get a trial bottle free.
Regular size 50c. and $1. Every bottle
guaranteed, or price refunded. 3
A Sore Sign of Croup.
Hoareeness in a child that is subject
to crcup is a sure indication of the ap
proach of the disease. If Chamberlain's
Cough Remedy is given as soon as the
child becomes hoarse, or even after the
croupy cough has appeared, it will pre
vent the attack. Many mothers who
have croupy children always keep this
remedy at band and find that it saves
them much trouble and worry. It can
always be depended upon and is pleasant
to take. For sale by Blakeley & Hough

last number of Poor Richard's Almanac,
published by Benjamin Franklin in
1757, "Contains the Wisdom of many
ages and nations assembled and formed
into one connected discourse." When
first published it attracted world wide
attention and was copied in all the news
papers in America and England and
translated into many foreien languages.
