The delinqent taxes of Wasco county, as Ehown on th6 rolls now in the hands of the sheriff are f 60,000. an amount al most equal to the indebtedness of the county. Every citizen will doubtless admit that this state of affairs should not exist, and that all taxes should be collected. Oa account of hard times in the past the county court Las shown leniency to taxpayers, but that leniency has reached the limit, and the court cannot wait longer on delinquents to makje settlements. For ibis reason a warrant has been attached to- each de linquent roll commarsdinc the sheriff to collect all taxes by seizure and sale of property. With a bountiful crop now in sight, there can no longer be any rea sonable excuse for the noa-payment of taxes. The sheriff ia bound by oath to comply with the terms of the warrants attached to the tax rolls for the collec tion thereof, and has no option in the matter. Delinquent taxpayers can save the cost of seizure an 1 sale of property by settling their taxes at once. Bosket Kkli.y, Sheriff and Tax Collector for Waeco County. Dated, August 4, 1S9S. Music. Cared by local applications, as they cannot reach the diseased portion of the ear. There is only one way to cure deafness, and that is by constitutional remedies. Deafness is caused by an inflamed con dition of the mucous lining of the Eus tachian Tube. When this tube is in flamed you have a rumbling sound or imperfect hearing, . and when it Is en tirely closed, Deafness is the result, and unless the inflammation can be taken out and this tube restored to its normal condition, hearing will be destroyed for ever; nine cases out of ten are caused by catarrh, which is nothing but an in flamed condition of the mucous sur faces.
