Miss Holmps, principal of the Holmes
Business College of Portland, is in the
city today copying records in the
oounty Superintendent's office. Miss
Holmes will be in attendance at the
countv institute Wednesday.
Funeral of Mrs. Fritz.
The funeral of the late Mrs. Sarah A.
Fritz was held from the Catholic church
in this city at 9 o'clock today. A re--quium
mass was eung by Eev. Brons
geest assisted by the choir, after which a
..short and very appropriate funeral ser
'inon was preached by the pastor. After
the eeivices in the church, the remains
were laid away along side of those of her
husband in the Catholic cemetery. The
"funeral was largely attended in epite of
the fact that many were unable to go on
account of press of business.
The paul bearers were selected from
old residents of this city who have
known and respected tbe deceased, on
account ot her amiable qualities, for
years. They were Messrs. George Liebe,
John Marden, J. Doherty, Frank Vogt,
J. P. Mclnerny and Etnil Schanno.
