THE HCEUEKCE OF STBCP Of fKS
is due not only to the originality and
simplicity of the combination, but also
to the care and skill with which it is
! manufactured by scientific processes
known to the California Fig Syrup
Co. only, and we wish to impress upon
all the importance of purchasing the
true and original remedy. As the
genuine Syrup of Figs is manufactured
by the California Fig Syrup Co.
only, a knowledge of that fact will
assist one in avoiding the worthless
imitations manufactured by other pel
ties.. The high standing of the Cali
fornia Fig Sykup Co. with the medi
cal profession, and the satisfaction
which the genuine Syrup of Figs has
given to millions of families, makes
the name of the Company a guaranty
of the excellence of its remedy. It is
far in advance of all other laxatives,
as it acts on the kidneys, liver and
bowels without irritating or weaken
ing them, and it does not gripe nor
nauseate. In order to get its beneficial
effects, please remember the name of
the Company

The Chief Burgees of MHesbnrg, Pa.,

daring forty years of . house keeping.
They corse constipation, sick headache

Robbed the Ori.
A startling incident of which Mr. John
Oliver of Philadelphia, was the subject
is narrated bv him as follows : I was in
a most dreadful condition. My ekin
was almost yellow, eyes sunken, tongue
coated, pain continually in back and
sides, no appetite gradually growing
weaker day by day. Three physicians
had given me up. Fortunately, a friend
advised trying 'Electric Bitters,' and to
my great joy and surprise, the first bot
tle made a decided improvement I con
tinued their use for three weeks, and am
now a well man. I know they caved
my lite and robbed tbe grave of another
victim." No one should fail to try them.
The Discovery of tbe Day.
Aug J. Bogel, the leading druggist of
Shreveport, La., says: "Dr. King's
New Discovery is the only thing that
cures my cough, and it is the best seller
I haye." J. F. Campbell, merchant of
Safford, Ariz., writes : Dr. King s New
Discovery is all that is claimed for it;
it never fails, and is a sure cure for con
sumption, coughs and colds. I cannot
say enough for Us merits." Dr. King's
New Discovery for Consumption, Colds
and CougliB is not an experiment. It
has been tried for aquarterof a century,
and today stands at tbe head. It never
disappoints. Trial bottles free at Blake
ley & Houghton's.
There is more Catarrh in this section
of the country than all othe diseases put
together, and until tbe last tew years
was supposed to be incurable'. For a
great many years doctors pronounced it
a local disease, and prescribed local
remedies, and by constantly failing to
cure with local treatment, pronounced
it incurable. Science has proyen catarrh
tobe a constitutional disease, and there
fore requires constitutional treatment.
Hall's Catarrah Cure, manufactured by
F. J. Cheney & Co., Toledo, Ohio, is the
only constitutional cure on the market.
It is taken internally in doses from ten
drops to a teasooonful. It acts directly
on the blood and .mucous surfaces of the
system. They offer one hundred dollars
for any case it fails to cure. Send for
circulars and testimonials. Address,

Persons troubled with diarboea wiil
be interested in the experience of W. M.
Bush, clerk of the hotel Dorrance, Prov
idence, R. I. He says: "For several
years I have been almost a constant suf
ferer from diarrhoea, the frequent at
tacks completely prostrating me and
rendering me unfit for my duty at this
hotel. About two years ago a traveling
salesman kindly gave me a Bmall bottle
of Chamberlain's Colic, Cholera and
Diarhoea Remedy. Much to my sur
prise and delight its effects were imme
diate. Whenever I felt symptdms of the
disease I would fortify myself against
the attack with a few doses of this val
ueabla remedy. The result has been
very satisfactory and almost complete
relief from the affliction." For sale by
