tho teachers institute at Hood River, re
turned to Bovd yesterday;
Mrs. S. P. M. Brigga went to Arlington
Saturday evening to spend Sunday with
Mr. Briggs and tho children, who are
living there at present.
iMr. W. S. Chipp, of this city, has ac
cepted a position with the Smith mer
cantile company at Arlington, end left
a few days ago to commence work.
Sieter Mary Alberta, who has been in
this city to attend the funeral of her
father, A. Battingen, and the superior
ol the Jacksonville convent, left on this
jjjjoojing's train for Jacksonville.
Evangelist Sillier at the 91. Ii. Church.
Evangelist E. F. Miller, of Chicago,
began ins work at the Methodist church
yesterday. He was greeted by a full
liou;o in the niotning and n crowded
house in the evening. The services
were very impressive throughout. But
all hearts were moved under his wonder
ful power in song.
The evangelist gave a very interesting
and profitable addreea to the Sunday
school.
The people of Tho Dulles cannot afford
to miss the opportunity afforded them
by tiie services of this earnest and capa
ble worker. Services will be held each
night this week, beginning at 7:30,
