    TURNING GRAY -
AND THREATENED
WITH BALDNESS
The Banger is Averted by Using
AVER'S
HAIR
VIGOR
Nearly forty years ago, after
some weeks of sickness, my hair
turned gray ami Iiegan falling out
so rapidly 'that I was threatened
with immediate baldness. Hearing
Ayer's Hair Vigor highly spoken of,
I commenced using this prepara-
tion, and was so well satisfied with
the result that I have never tried
any other kind of dressing. It stop
ped the hair from falling out, stimu
lated a new growth of hair, and kept
the scalp free from dandruff. Only
an occasional application is now
needed to keep my hair of good,
natural color. I never hesitate to
recommend any of Ayer's medicines
to my friends." Mrs. II. M. IIah;ht,

The County Poor.
Some of the inmates of the county
poor house have very readily adopted
the belief that the world owes them a
living and are unwilling to do the least
thing requiring physical exertion, how
ver trivial. As a.coniequence they are
becoming lazy and their ambition has
reached such a low ebb that they are
needlessly useless and are fastening
upon themselves a habit which will
grow npon them that of laziness.
Their inaction is not conducive, either,
to their physical well being, and atten
tion having been brought to the county
court, the court has issued a decree, in
Tested with proper safeguards for the
protection of the inmate in all cases. It
is as follows :
"It is hereby ordered that the inmates
of the county poor bouse shall perform
such work as they are directed to do by
the superintendent, M. M. Cushing,
when certified to by the physician that
; they are able to perform manual labor,
.and that upon their refusal to do and
perform such work as directed by the
eaid M. M. Cusbing, he is hereby au
thorized to discharge them from the
said poor house, and his judgment shall
be final in respect thereto."

TO PUT ON
needed flesh, no mat
ter how you've lost
it, take lit. Pierce's
Oolden Medical Dis
covery. It works
wonders. By restor
ing the normal ac
tion of the deranged
organs and functions,
it builds the flesh np
to a safe and healthy
standard promptly,
pleasantly and nat
urally. The weak,
emaciated, thin, pale
and puny are made
strong, plump, round and rosy. Noth
ing so effective as a strength restorer
and flesh maker is known to medical sci
ence; this puts on healthy flesh not the fat
of cod liver oil and its filthy compounds.
It rouses every organ of the body to ac
tivity, purifies, enriches and vitalizes
the blood so that the body feels refreshed
and strengthened. If you are too thin, too
weak, too nervous, it may be that the food
assimilation is at fault. A certain amount
of bile is necessary for the reception of the
fat foods in the blood. Too often the liver
holds back this element which would help
digestion. Dr. Pierce's Golden Medical
Discovery stimulates, tones up and invig
orates the liver, nourishes the blood, and
the muscles, stomach and nerves get the
rich blood they require.
