HOT A SICK DAY
Fer Over Thirty Years!
' EZ3ULT OF USING
AYER'SPILLS
"Ayer's Cathartic Pills for over tliirl
Tears have kept me in good health,
aevcr having had a sick day in all that
time. Before I was twenty I suffered
almost continually as a result of con
ii;Uion from dyspepsia, headaches,
neuralgia, or boils and other eruptive
liscoses. When I became convinced
that nine-tenths of my troubles were
caused by constipation, I began the nse
f Ayer's Pills, with the most satisfac
tory results, never having a single
attack that did not readily yield to this
remedy. My wife, who had been an
invalid for years, also began to uso
Ayer's Pills, and her health was quickly
restored. With my children I had no
ticed that nearly all their ailments were
preceded by constipation, and I soon
ind the pleasure of knowing that with
children as with parents, Ayer's Pills.
If taken in season, avert all danger of
ickness." H. Wettstein, Byron, 111.

SAVED THE OWNER TROUBLE.
Burglar Opened a Safe When the Combi
nation IVas Lost. - .V
The proprietor of a larg-e store on
High street went to his place of busi
ness at an unusually early, hour one
rooming; in. fact, the sun had not yet
risen when he turned the key. in the
door. On entering he was surprised to
find a man trying1 to open the door of
his safe. He stood and watched him
for some time, apparently deeply in
terested in the proceedings, says the
West Bedford (Mass.) Windmill, when
finally the burglar swung open the
c"oor of the- safe with a delighted
chuckle, but happening to turn he paw
that he was discovered, and became
very much alarmed. - He jumped up and
was about to make his escape through
st back window, when the merchant
called to him: "
"Don't be in a hurry, . my friend ;
come back and sit down awhile and
conoke a cigar, while I straighten things
up a bit, and then come to breakfast
with me. You have done me a great
favor."
"Why, how's that?" asked the bur
glar, in great surprise.
"Well, you see, I had the combina
tion of the safe, on a bit of paper, and
last night I accidentally locked it in
the safe and forgot how to work it. I
spent most of the night trying to get
the thing open, and came in early this
morning to have another try at it."
