w loss or VOICE After Acute Bronchitis U CUBED BY USING AYER'S Pectoral A PREACHER'S EXPERIENCE. "Three months ago, I took a vio lent cold which resulted in an attack of acute bronchitis. I put- myself under medical treatment, and at the end of two months was no better. I found it very difficult to preach, nd concluded to try Ayer's Cherry J?:.'Lr a i -j:t. ' fit sr.- Pectoral. The first bottle gave me great relief ; the second, which I am now taking, has relieved me almost entirely of all unpleasant symptoms, and I feel sure that one or two bot tles more will effect a permanent cure. To all ministers suffering from throat troubles, I recommend Ayer's Cherry Pectoral." E. M. Beawley, D. D., Dist. Secretary, Am. Bapt. Publication Society, Petersburg, Va. The Christian church was filled to overflowing last evening with those who came to hear Rev. I. II. Hazel in his in teresting series of sermons on Revela tions. He finds no difficulty in inter preting the wonderful symbols of that most perplexing book of the Bible, and gives' them a meaning most significant in the light of history. His text laat evening was "Sealing the 144,000," re ferring to the twelve tribes of Judea of 12,000 each. The Roman Catholic church contended, according to theC speaker, that the sealing was done with holy water by the index finger of the priest upon the foreheads of those com posing the tribes, but he believed the sealing was not done in eo material a manner, but that the spirit was sealed for God through a more convincing pro r -"k-" , . Constantine was this angel, or messenger, as thea literal meaning is, who by the four great powers, had control the four angels. AT THE BAPTIST CHUECII. Rev. O. D. Taylor at the First BaptiBt church, took for his theme, "The light of the-glory in the face of Jesus Christ," from II Cor. iv :6, following with "And they shall see His face," Rev. xxii:4. " Not only with Jesus Christ, the fullness of the Godhead, but he had a moral character of his own. A part of the joy of friendship is the presence of one's friend. And so David said : "In Thy reeenoe is fullness of joy and at TLy right hand there are pleasures forever more." The greatest joy of Heaven to the Christian will be to behold His face. INot by the eye of faith, as now, he shall look upon bis Lord, but when he shall ,eee Him eye to eye and face to face. In .Jlis face we shall behold first the glery -of His infinite love, second, the glory of iHis infinite grace, third, the glory of the perfect sacrifices. Hid body also fchall bear the marks of this sacrifice. "Five bleeding wounds lie bears, - fiieceived on Calvary." "Fourth, the glory of unselfish ser vice, fifth, the glory of the finished re demption, aud lastly, the glory of His victory over death, hell and the grave. In His earthly life He perfected all these moral characteristics and they belong to His personality and will appear in the glory of His countenance when he comes from the throne of his glory, when he comes to receive His own. Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be, but this we know, that when He shall ap pear we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is. METHODIST CHURCH. A union service was held at the M. . church at 7 :30 p. m. The rostrum was occupied by Rev. J. H. Wood, Rev. W. 3. Curtis and Rev. Ritzier, agent of the American Bible Society. The sermon was delivered by Rev. Ritzier, and par took more of the character of a lecture. ft ' ' M v -j: r 11 He spoke chiefly of the work of the American Bible Society, a work in which all Protestant churches are interested alike. The text was taken from Nehe miah, "And the work Is great and large." - Sixty million Bibles have al ready "been distributed by this society, printed in over 200 different languages and dialects. The" work is spread over the whole earth, the sun in its coarse shining upon assemblies all studying the pame lesson from Bibles furnished by this society. He considered the society was, more nearly than any other, follow ing the divine injunction to go and preach the word to all nations. The sermon was illustrated and made plain by anecdotes and experiences, which cover a wide range with Mr. Ritzier. Miss Myrtle Michell sang the beautiful solo, "In Heavenly Love Abiding." X.OKt. THJ2 ONWARD flARCH of Consumption is stopped short by Dr. Pierce's Golden Med ical Discovery. If you haven't waited beyond reason, there's complete re covery and cure. Although, by many believed to be incur able, there is the evidence of hundreds of living witnesses to the fact that, in all its earlier stages, con sumption is a curable disease. Not every case, but a large per centage of cases, and we believe, fully 98 tier cent, are MireI by Dr. Pierce's Golden Medical Discovery, even after the disease has progressed so far as to induce repeated bleeding's from the lungs, severe lingering- cough with copious expectoration (including tubercu lar matter), great loss of flesh and extreme emaciation and weakness. Do you doubt that hundreds of such cases reported to us as cured by " Golden Med ical Discovery " were genuine cases of that dread and fatal disease ? You need not take our word for it. They have, in nearly every instance, been so pronounced by the best and most experienced home physicians, who have no interest whatever in misrepresenting- them, and who were often strongly prejudiced and advised against a trial of "Golden Medical Discovery," but who have been forced to confess that it surpasses, in curative power over this fatal malady, all other medicines with which they are acquainted. Nasty cod liver oil and its filthy "emulsions" and mixtures, had been tried in nearly all these cases and had either utterly failed to bene fit, or had only Seemed to benefit a little for a short time. Extract of malt, whiskey, and various preparations of the hypophos phites had also been faithfully tried in vain. The photographs of a large number of those cured of consumption, bronchitis, lingering coughs, asthma', chronic nasal catarrh and kindred maladies, have been skillfully reproduced in a book of 160 pages which will be mailed to you, on re ceipt of address and six cents m stamps. You- can then write those cured and learn their experience. Address World's Dispen sary Medical Association-, Buffalo, N.Y.
