UHTOLD MISERY rxou RHEumATisra C. H. King, Water Valley, Miss., cored by Ayer's Sarsaparifla "For five years, I sulTercil untold misery from muscular rheumatism. I tried every known remedy, consulted the best physi cians, visited Hot Springs. Ark., three times, spending $1000 there, l esides doctors' bills; lmt could obtain only teii'iiorary relief. Jly tlesh was wasted away so that I weighed only ninety-three pounds: my left .irm and leg were drawn out of shape, the muscles being twisted up in knots. I was nnRble to dress myself, except with assistance, and could only bobble about by using a cane. I had no appetite, and was assured, by the doctors, that I could not live. The pains, at times, were so awful, that I could procure relic! only by means of hypodermic Injec tions of morphine. I had my limbs baudaged In clay, in sulphur. In poultices; but these gave only temporary relief. After trying everything,, and suffering the most awful tortures, I began to take Ayer's Sarsaparilki. Inside of two months, I was able to walk without a cane. In three months, my limbs fcegan to strengthen, and In the course of a year, I was cured. My weight has increased to ICS pounds, and 1 am now able to do my full day's work as a railroad blacksmith." The Only World's Fair Sarsaparilla. The officers who had previously been elected, and who were installed last evening were as follows : Worthy Matron, .Mrs. Mary Scott Myers; Worthy Patron, W. S.Myers; Associate Matron. Mrs. Ella H. Garret- son ; Secretary, Miss Lena Snell ; Treas urer, Mrs. Clark ; Conductress, Mrs. Dr. Sanders; Associate Conductress, Mm. W. H. Kelsay ; Chaplain, Mrs. Clark; Warden, Mrs. Burget; Sentinel, Harry dough ; Organist, Mrs. Alice Varney ; Marshal, Mrs. Blakeley. After the ceremonies of installation were concluded, the members repaired to the banquet hall, where two large' tables, loaded with all manner of good things, greeted them. A sumptuous feast had been prepared, and the "flow of reaEon and feast of soul" made the occasion a joyous one During the evening Past Worthy Pa tron Baker made some appropriate re marks upon the historical aspect of the order. Interesting talks were made also by other members present.' At midnight the meeting and its at tendant pleasures came to an end, and the installation ceremonies passed into the records of the order. A Chronicle reporter, who dropped into the hall this morning while some of the ladies were cleaning away the re mains of the feast, was treated so well that it was hard to get away to write up this report.
