Mr. Fred Miller, of Irving, 111. writes
that he had a Severe Kidney trouble for
many years, with severe pains in bis
back and also that his bladder was
affected. He tried many so called Kid
ney cures but - without any good result.
About a year ago he began use of Electric
Bitters and found relief at once. Elec

of all Kidney and Liver troubles and
often gives almost instant relief. One

Fatal Collision.
London, Aug. 14. A special dispatch
from Tunis says a collision has taken
place near Galieta between a number of
barges loaded with iron and a ferryboat
crowded with, people. Some of the lat
ter's passengers were crushed, and
many drowned.
Pains in the email of the back indicate
a diseased condition' of the kidneys.
Owing to the dangerous nature of the
dieases which attack those organs it is
important that measures should be
taken to remove the trouble before it
has become too firmly fixed. Prudence
would suggest the prompt use of Dr. J.
H. McLean's Liver and Kidney Balm
which has specSc action on the liver and
kidneys and will cause an early restora
tion to healthy conditions. Price $1.00
per bottle.
Accident at Kiel.
Kiel, Aug. 14. At the German ship
building yards today a gangway broke
and many workmen were thrown into
the water. Eight bodies have been re
covered. There are a great many of the unfortu
nate ones in this world, greater in num
ber than those who are blessed with
good digestion. To ' some people the
greatest misfortune is not to be able to
eat everything set before tbem. "I suf

everything I ate disagreed with me. I
was induced to try Simmons Liver Reg

a little now and then, with, a gentle,
cleansing' laxative, thereby removing of
fending matter, from the stomach and
bowels, toning up and invigorating the
liver and quickening its tardy action,
and you thereby remove the cause of a
multitude of distressing diseases, such as
headaches, indigestion, or dyspepsia,
biliousness, pimples, blotches, eruptions,
boils, constipation, piles, ' fistulas and
maladies too numerous to mention.
If people would pay more attention to
properly regulating the action of their
bowels, they would have less fre
quent occasion to call for their doctor's
services to subdue attacks of dangerous
diseases.
That, of all known agents to accom
plish this purpose, Dr. Pierce's Pleasant
Pellets are unequaled, is proven by the
fact that once used, they are always in
favor. Their secondary effect is to keep
the bowels open and regular, not to fur
ther constipate, as is the case with other
pills. Hence, their great popularity,
with sufferers from habitual constipation,
piles and indigestion.
A free sample of the " Pellets," (4 to 7
doses) on trial, is mailed to any address,
post-paid, on receipt of name and address
on postal card.

There is more Catarrh in this ' section
of the country than all other diseases
put together, and until the last few
years was supposed to be incurable.
For a great many years doctors pro
nounced it a local disease, and prescrib
ed local remedies, and by constantly
failing to cure with local treatment, pro
nounced it incurable. Science has
proven catarrh to be a constitutional
disease and therefore requires constitu
tional treatment. Hall's Catarrh Cure,
manufactured by F. J. Cheney & Co.,
Toledo, Ohio, is the only constitutional
cure on the market. It is taken inter
nally in doses from 10 drops to a tea
spoonful.' It acts directly on the blood
mucous surfaces of the system. They
offer one hundred dollars for any case it
fails to cure. Send for circulars and tes
timonials. Address.

There comes a time to all of us, when
we feel mean and "out of sorts" and in a
condition to invite disease. It is then
we need such a remedy as Dr. J. H. Mc

sickness or overwork its invigorating
influence is surprising, promptly restor
