Ghe Has Ever Known. Words of Praise
from a Now York Lady for
AYER'S PILLS
f
' I would like to ailil my testimony to
tbat of others who have used Ayer's
Pills, and to say that I have taken them
for many years, and always derived the
Viest results from their use. For stom
ach and liver troubles, and for the cure
of headache caused by these derange
ments, Ayer's Pills cannot be equaled.
"When my friends ask me what is the
best remedy for disorders of the stom
ach, liver, or bowels, my invariable
answer is, Ayer's Pills. Taken in sea
son, they will break up a cold, prevent
la grippe, check fever, and regulate tho
digestive organs. They are easy to
take, and are, indeed, the best all-round
family medicine I have ever known."
Mrs. 5Iat Johnson, 3C8 Rider Avenue,
New York City.-

Ellensburg, Aug. 12. Charlefl Vin
cent, a worthless character, shot and
killed Mike Kohlopp, a paloon proprie
tor, last evening. In attempting to aid
Kohlopp, John Bergman was stabbed in
the right breast by Vincent's father, a
t -rribld wound being inflicted. Both
V nceuta were immediately placed

Pains in the small of the back indicate
a diseased condition of the kidneys.
Owing to the dangerous nature of the
diearies which attack those organs it is
important that measures should be
taken to remove the trouble before it
has become too firmly fixed. Prudence
would suggest the prompt use of Dr. J.
H. McLean's Liver and Kidney Balm
which has spec tic action on the liver and
-kidneys ani will cause an early restora
tion to healthy conditions. Price $1.00
per bottle.
City of Mexico Shaken.
City of Mexico, Aug. 12. A sharp
earthquake shock was experienced at 8
this morning, and a second shock of
considerable severity at 10.
There comes a time to all of us, when
we feel mean and "out of sorts" and in a
condition to invite disease. It is then
'we need such a remedy as Dr. J. H. Mc
Lean's Strengthening Cordial and Blood
Purifier. To persons exhausted by
sickness or overwork its invigorating
influence is surprising, promptly restor
ing health, energy and cheerful spirits.
Price $1.00 bottle. For sale by Snipes

There are so many accidents to live
stock whicn cause delay and los9 to the
farmer in his work. In a large number
of instances the delay would be but
trifling if a remedy was promptly applied.
Dr. J. H. McLean's Volcanic Oil Lini
ment has for many years been regarded
as the farmer's friend. Its healing on
flesh of domestic animals is immediate
and permanent. Price 25c, 50c and $1.00
per bottle. For sale at Snipes-Kinersly

A good deal of last year's wheat is
being brought into town and ' placed
for storage. The market will not open
for eeveral weeks and the price is puri
ly nominal. Men of conservative judge,
ment think that when the market does
. begin 50 cents willjbe the opening figure.
Some people expect it to go higher. If
present indications are any criteron the
farmer is going to receive a fair return
for this season of toil.
Easy to take, sure to cure, no pain,
nothing to dread, pleasant little pills.

The boys of Mosier and the surround
ing neighborhood had a good time play
ing baseball Saturday afternoon. They
played for three hours. They have a
good ground to play on, located north
ot the depot, and partly surrounded by
willows. Spectators can come and sit
in the shade and enjoy themselves
watching the game. Moeier has a prom

is anywhere. After the game a meeting
was held, and the following officers were
elected : J. M. arioll, captain ; Lee

Mr. C. W. Strong, principal of the
public schools at Anderson, Cal., says:
"I have used Chamberlain's Pain Balm
and have found it an excellent remedy
lor lameness and slight wounds."
Lameness usually results from a sprain,
or other injury, or from rheumatism, for
which Chamberlain's Pain Balm is es
pecially intended and unequalled. It
affords almost immediate relief and in a
nhort time effects a permanent cure.

None But Ayer's at the World Fair.
Ayer's Sareaparilla enjoys the extra
ordinary distinction of having been the
only blood pnrifier allowed an exhibit
at the World's Fair, Chicago. Manu
facturers of other sareaparilla sought by
every means to obtain a showing of their
goods, but they were all turned away
under the application of the rule fore
bidding the entry of patent medicines
and nostrums. The decision of the
World's fair authoritfes in favor of
Ayer's Sareaparilla was in effect as fol
lows: "Ayer's Sareaparilla is not a
patent medicine. It does not belong to
the list of nostrums. It is here on its
merits."
