A fire that arted at 2:30 p. m. today totally de- royed the Oregon Railway & Naviga- Jon Company's freight and passengers Bee, large warehouses and nine freight lira, five of which were loaded with erchandisn and wool. The large wool lid freight warehouse of S. A. Heilner so destroyed, together with itd contents. he fire was caused by the explosion of can of coal oil that was being used br ainters at work on the Oregon Railway Navigation buildings. Vancouver, Wash., Aug. 12. General Buggies, adjutant general of the army will make an inspection of the troops at the Barracks here tomorrow. He will arrive about 10 o'clock a. m., and will be accompanied by Governor J. H. McGraw, There will be a grand review of the troops during the day and a reception by the officers and their wives. In the evening a reception will be tendered Governor McGraw by the citizens of the city at the Hotel Columbia. Who Be is. New York, Aug. 12. W. Dickinson, chairman of the municipal council ofTien-Tsin, and a partner in the firm of Collins & Co., well-known merchants. Silver Knights In San Frsnclieo. Oakland, Cat., Aug. 12. Senator Per kins, Congressman Hilborn and a num ber of other prominent politicans, have sent to the recording secretary of the Silver Knights at Washington for a charter, with a view to establishing a branch of the order in this city. It is said that branches will also be formed at San Francisco and other cities throughout the state. Accidentally Killed. New York, Aug. 12. Edward M. Cameron, a millionaire, was found dead last night, and it was supposed heart dis ease caused hi9 death. The coroner's inquest today, however, developed the fact that he was cleaning a pistol in his room yesterday afternoon, when the weapon was accidentally discharged, and the bullet passed through his heart. Cripple Creek, Col., Aug. 12. A miner, supposed to be George McDer mot, was struck by lightning and in stantly killed near this place. He is un known here; was about 26 years old and heavy set. Judge, a freight agent for the Union Pacific rail road, committed suicide at 1U6 L street last night by hanging himself to a bed post with a shawl strap.
