Chicago, July 29. Another case of mysterious disappearance which may yet be charged to- Holmes was reported to the police today by the neighbors of Dr. Euasler, who disapeared in 1892. Dr. Eussler, for several months, had an office in Holmes' building. He and Holmes were often together, apparently being intimate friends. Some time in 1892, the date being a matter of doubt, the physician dropped out of. sight. He bad but a few acquaintances, and al though bis disappearance caused some talk among the neighbors, little atten tion was paid to it. Charles Chappell, son of M. S. Chap pell, who claims to have been an assis tant of Holmes, and to have articulated skeletons for him, says his father has been of unsound mind for several years, and expresses the belief that his father knows nothing whatever of Holmes. The Britijh steamer Manitoba, which arrived today from London, reports that on July 26, the Cunard liner Aurania was sighted with her machinery disabled. "We had an epidemic of disentery in this vicinity last summer," says Samuel S. Pollock, of Briceland, Cal.
