'. If Ton Do, and Act on the Suggestion,
You Will Nt Regert It-
I would kindly suggest to those who
may be considering the advisability pf
presenting the home with a piano, that
if they will avail themselves of. the un
precedented opportnnites offered at this
sale in that line, they will have made
the bargain of a lifetime, and I can safe
ly say that you will have saved enough
in the transaction to fairly educate the
family in music. -
I am offering at this sale the very best
pianos that money,' brains and exper
ience can produce ; the class and charac
ter of which no man can dispute, and
fully one-half lower than the regular re
tail price for the same class of goods the
world over. The guarantee of the W.
W. Kimball company, a firm worth
millions, goes with every Kimball piano.
The Kimball pianos are in greater de
mand than any piano the world has ever
produced, which is abundant proof of
their excellence. No piano, of any
name, at any price, will wear any better
or retain its original beauty of tone any
longer.
Mere than 600 Kimbal pianos are in
use in Oregen, at least two to one of any
other make, and every possessor is
bappy ; they could not be otherwise.
If you expect to get one of the instru
, ments offered at this sale, you should
call at the old Chronicle building at
once.

The Wiley B. Allen Co. is a private
corporation with a capital slock of $100,
000. It is no branch house, nor is it
dictated to by any one particular man
ufacturer as to how it shall conduct its
business or what it shall sell. On the
contrary, it dictates to the manufacturers
themselves, taking pains to select only
the very choicest makes best adapted to
the climate of Oregon. The corporation
is an Oregon production, its home and
interests are in Oregon, its reputation is
in Oregon, and at the present time it
possesses sufficient brains and capital to
- run and operate its own business, carry
ing all Installment contracts and notes
in its own vaults, and not rending them
East to be hawked about in various
banks or collection bureaus. It permits
no manufacturer to send goods to the
"wilds of Oregon" not good enough to
sell to the sophisticated nabobs of the
East.
. All naanuiacturers select representa
tives. -The best manufacturers select
the best representatives, and that is why
the Wiley B, Allen Co., of Portland, Or.,
have been selected to represent such
noted makes as Chickering, the Hard
man, Fischer, Bush & Gertr and Ludwig
pianos.
A piano is an article which itm'ghtbe
said to be UBed every day in the year for
a lifetime. It is poor policy, therefore,
for a buyer to take something which
some travelling representative may
want to thrust upon him. Go rather to
some representative house whose home,
-whose interest, whose reputation and
-whose capital is invested in the state of
Oregon, and at the same time get a
choice of various makes to select from,

treat in the way of an impromptu con
cert. Everyone was delighted with the
beautiful tone and touch of the Kimball

with the great superiority which the
manufacturers eo iustlv claim for it-
It
is not surprising after hearing the Kim
ball, that the gentlemen who represent
it should be so enthusiastic in its praise
Persona who were not so fortunate ai
to be present last evening will no doubt
be afforded an opportunity of hearing
some beautiful music this evening
Since the Klauball wareroomhas become
such a popular evening resort, persona
who were not eo fortunate as to be pres
ent last evening, will not doubt thi
agreeable surprise this evening, as these
impromptu musicals will certainly
repeated. . ' dlt-
